Communion Policy

Welcome to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chillicothe, Ohio. We consider it a true blessing from God to have you join us in the House of the Lord for worship this morning. If you are visiting our congregation for the first time, please complete the attendance sheet found in the red folder in the pew rack and sign our guest registry after the service.

Our Church Family consists of married, singles, widowed, babies, children, youth, and adults of all ages bound together in the forgiveness of sins, life and salvation given freely by our God. As we Gather in His sanctuary, we join in heart and soul to worship Him. As we Grow in the study of His Word, we learn His will for us and we Serve and Pray for our neighbors in the love of God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Please join us as we gather, grow and serve together, in the name of Jesus.

Holy Communion is one of the most sacred acts of the church. It is in the Sacrament of the Altar where we gather with all the saints around the real presence of Jesus Christ found in the body and blood given in this precious meal. We believe those who come to this altar to receive the true body and blood of Christ must be of one accord, believing all the same teachings of Holy Scriptures. It is for this reason that you are asked to refrain from coming to the altar if you are not a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod or among the churches who are in fellowship with our church body. Please feel free to speak to the Pastor or Elder for more information.
